Airsoft Gun Models Guide
There are three models of airsoft guns available, some low quality and of course the high end models, all of which use different mechanisms to make the guns work.
Spring Airsoft Guns
These types are powered by a spring. They require a manual cock of the firing spring proior to each shot. Generally, spring powered airsoft guns are not as powerful as the other models, such as gas and electric and they are cheaper. They make a great kind of training gun for beginners because they are uncomplicated to operate, durable and easily obtainable.
Gas Airsoft Models
These are also known as GBB, as they use a gas that powers the weapon to shoot the BB’s. They are heavier than the spring and electric models. But, they do offer an advantage over the spring loaded ones because they are able to offer a semi automatic feel and you can shoot a few times before you need to replace the small CO2 cartridge.
The Electric Airsoft Gun
These are top of the line in airsoft and use a motor to power the shot. Disposable batteries are usually required for these models and some come with rechargeable ones. The electric models of airsoft guns are the most popular types, mostly because the rate of fire can be up to 1000 rounds per minute.
Of all the models of airsoft weapons, the electric are the most durable. They allow for quick shots, fast BB reloads. They are the most realistic models, staying true to actual military grade weapons. A good example of the electric airsoft gun model is the AK-47 which provides automatic and semi-automatic firing.
